Iris

Iris is a part of the eye. More specifically, "the part that controls light levels inside the eye (similar to the aperture on a camera)".
I was offered an iris...well, two at birth, and one on Tuesday. My two 27 year-old irises needed to open themselves to light, so that my mind could see better...

I opened my eyes by looking at the iris today.
The best master I have? The one I love.

...now "my iris" lays on my study table. Next to the lamp.
