Leaving Milwaukee.

Yes, I'm inspired.
As someone used to say: feeling inspired is breathing in - with all your lungs- the life that there is out there, and let it revive your soul.
I did that.
But, this week, I was helped...everyday, I was helped.

If the saying 'home is where the heart is' is true, I guess I rented a house in Milwaukee.
Because my heart will be here - I'm leaving today - whenever I wish to remember people that opened their their doors to me, as well as their arms.
People that showed me around, and showed me inside (the place and myself).

Guess what? I'm a pilgrim, who is finding friends and masters along my way, and walking my path (with the special ones inside my own chest. Hope chest? May be.).

This week, I learned with people that garden their life like if it was a garden that needed care and art (and knowledge)...and know how to appreciate a gift.
People that give in some many ways, that by being the best way they can, actually give without noticing they are doing so.

They showed me how possibe it is to connect to another country, in deep ways, even if the gestures and the expressions are different. And I keep those memories with me.

I saw the lake and stood there wondering if the ice is just like the ice in Portugal. I saw a concert, and music connected me to the place (and to old times where blues were a way to adapt, like Fado was in my country), I saw museums, and I saw a very special family, that showed me more than they can imagine.

"The master appears when the disciple is ready", philosophers used to say. Well and I guess they were right (not that they need me to confirm their notions).

The example I had is going to be treasured and I hope that being Milwaukee a place where 4 rivers join their waters...that my culture and this culture (two different rivers made of the same water) flow to a common sea.

Because all rivers follow the same lighthouse.

Thank you.
